Hey,
This post is mostly for admins, but ofc it's open discussion. I like testing small projects, there is a chance to see some new system or idea. But I must admit - I don't get idea of this project.
I assume work invested into this is quite big. On the other hand, I don't see "why?". Does having a 3d world bring anything new into tibia gameplay-wise? Do some systems work differently? Is combat different due to 3d world?
Not really. Currently it's a VERY unfinished product, which just ported tibia from 2d to 3d, but this doesn't add any depth. I imagine it may be interesting only for some tibia fans, nobody else. The "selling point", which is 3d, is very unfinished. Creature models are off, often mismatched with miniatures in battle log, dead creatures sprites are way off, there are some strange tile set glitches sometimes, some invisible walls are placed on open areas without any visible indicators that this tile is blocked... a lot of work into change which don't bring anything important. If porting to 3d would change something, ie removing grid movement/combat and introducing free movement - then ok, we have big gameplay change and this is new. But in this state?
Even when (if) graphical bugs will be fixed and final/better assets will be introduced... there is no good selling point for players.
Or am I missing something? Or maybe there are plans to actually change something in gameplay and use this 3d world?
